I got a order from Media Mania to make a Illustration for a magazine they design the pages for. They wanted a picture of a solder that looked tough, but also have a shadow of fear and scared.

I made sketches first. And the picture become closer and closer to the final product.

I liked the colors and the Perspective of this sketch. I had made to more sketches, but this one was the best one. So I chose to make a more line art version of the sketch to make up my mind on how the line art should be.

The next sketch made me realize that i did not need line art. And should make a picture whiteout it. 

The almost finished product is this. I kept the first colors, because Media Mania liked that pallet. But since the purple soldier is supposed to be a manifestation of the grief and fear of the orange solder. So the last step was to make the picture to look like that.
